DesignEars® Motorsports Earmolds are made to contour into the ear for a discreet, more comfortable fit for use under a motorsports helmet.
Made via an impression of your ear, the impressions are scanned to a digital file that can be kept on file for up to 5 years. It is digitally altered to your desired shape, and then cast using the latest 3D technology.
Made from a soft 40 shore hardness silicone that is flexible enough to move with you but firm enough to hold its shape, they are perfect to wear under a helmet or wherever hearing protection is required.
With a SNR25 rating giving you 34.8db of protection at 4000hz when required, optional filters can also be fitted to offer the best solution for the environment you are in.
Using our vast years of experience and working closely within the race industries both drivers and crew, we have developed the ultimate in comfort. Our Motorsports Earmolds are made to offer the best of sound quality and ease of cleaning with a clear tip. Available in various connectors such as 3.5mm Stereo or Mono, US1/8th, RCA and others as requested, they are fitted to a strong 50cm cable that has a reinforced Y section and the wire harness has been heat sealed to prevent breakage at the jack.
We produce our own range of specialist harness so we can produce them to just about any length you desire we use quality Knowles Balanced Armature so you receive crystal clear instructions from your crew or race control. DesignEars Motorsports Earmolds are made as a slim fit, so they won’t dislodge while taking your helmet off and on and will stay in place while racing giving you the ultimate in comfort for many hours of use.

Our custom Earmolds are made from a soft, high-grade silicone that gives you great isolation while still allowing you to hear your environment at an acceptable level.
Using balanced musician armatures that are small yet powerful single driver gives you a more dynamic sound. We source only the best musician drivers from Knowles or Sonion for the best clarity. With a strong 50cm cable they are the perfect size, and we can offer custom cable lengths if required. We offer 3.5mm Stereo, 3.5mm Mono, RCA, 1/8th US Mono and Lemo connection. All wiring is done in house and can be altered to suit your requirements.

Communication
In Ear custom communication units that connect you seamlessly to your 2-way or radio pack all in one custom unit.
From an impression of your ear, we can produce full shell custom earplugs using our state of art 3D process giving you an identical replica of your ear for the ultimate in comfort and protection. The custom earplugs are rated SNR29 – NRR30 – SLC80 28 compliant as Class 5 hearing protectors giving you the strongest hearing protection. The Communication harness can be custom made to suit your radio set up and needs as we can adjust the set length of the cable, where you need a PPT andandthe radio connector required.The harness snap locks into the custom earpiece securely placing the radio communications directly into the ear for clear private communications and instructions. We have 3 set speaker levels of sensitivity and impedance to best suit your requirements.The microphone is attached via a flexible boom from the earpiece allowing lightweight placement in front of your mouth so clear speech is heard back to base using a magnetic noise cancelling microphone. A foam shroud is used to prevent excess wind noise when using outdoors.The PTT (Push To Talk) button can be small for covert use or large for ease of use to suit all situations and when paired with a belt pack you can use the radios own PPT button.
